Moving Update

We've moved. There's your update.

Kidding!

Seriously though, we have moved. And it's fabulous. We've been sleeping in our new home since Friday and as of yesterday at 6 pm everything but Jason's shop (his responsibility to move) and the attic (again, his) is in our country house. That's how I'm referring to it from now on. Our Country House. I really want to come up with a name for it, but I think that's one of those things that will just have to happen. Kind of like The E-Ranch.

Now we're busy cleaning and nesting and compromising on decorating. Oh my lands, are we ever compromising. I always dreamed of having a husband with strong decorating opinions. Apparently, I really didn't know what I was in for when I married Jason. But it's working and we're learning. As SJ emailed me today, "Moving is stressful and your marriage has lived (more than lived) through three moves and three job changes. There's got to be something said about God's faithfulness in all this!"

Amen. And Amen.

After the first restless night where Knox woke us every hour, on the hour, we have resorted back to the crate. Allie instructed me that we needed to make him feel as safe as possible these first few days since it's all new sights and smells for him. Any of you with dogs who have made a move, I would be welcome to your advice on how we can continue to make this a smooth transition for him. And for us. Because seriously? The constant pacing? Starting to drive us a little batty.

We'll get the new pup in two weeks once he's old enough to leave Momma Sugar. That's another thing: we're now indecisive about which pup to take as ours. But that's another post that will be loaded with tons of cute pictures that will make you want to immediately run out and get one. MG, brace yourself.

As of now, we don't have internet at the Country House. Yes, you heard me right. If you know me at all, you know this is causing me considerable consternation. Right now, in fact, I am sitting in the floor of our empty living room in the old house because we still have internet there. I'll have it at work but still....what am I supposed to do at night when I'm home?

Oh yeah, unpack.

Yay--moved in! That's gotta feel good.

Without the internet, I'm the most productive woman on the planet.

Hurray! I'm so glad you're in the OC(H). Poor Knox must be super-confused - and I second Boom's comment - pictures!
