My sister is currently “stationed” in Puerto Rico for the next two weeks with her ANG unit.
I use the term “stationed” loosely because so far all her texts and emails have only mentioned lounging on the beach and enjoying piña coladas.
Ahem.
My mother is also at the beach, enjoying a well-deserved vacation.
So while I am LOVING my first real autumn in three years {Hello changing leaves! Hello layers of clothing! Hello enjoying a Pumpkin Spice Latte when it’s actually cold in October!}, I can’t help but look back at these pictures with a certain degree of longing.
Enjoy, ladies. And next time? I expect one of you to take me with you.
Uggh- I could soooo use a beach trip right now. I'm school weary. But the leaves are nice around here aren't they?
ReplyDeletehaha! aw, don't be jealous. I hear I have a meeting to go to at 1 today so that's about 30 minutes of work. Sort of. The meeting is at the hotel and then I'm bound to go play on the beach right afterwards. I'm just messing with you! Next time, you can come! But next time is New Zealand, so save your pennies and pack your bags!
ReplyDeleteThe beach sounds like fun to me too, but I guess I will have to settle for this amazing fall weather that we are having. 70's in November is pretty nice for us this time of year. I'm not complaining. I worked in the yard all afternoon today. Have a great weekend! My daughter is visiting a friend in Chapel Hill tonight and I thought about you. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteahhh, poor baby!
ReplyDeleteJust kidding.. love your pics! If I knew how, I'd post the little birds that visited me everyday on my 15th floor balcony, my lovely chair that rocked and swiveled and my sunsets... heavenly!! A perfect 7-day silent retreat.
