Mountain House Tour - The Keepin' It Real Version

I have words to write. Lots and lots of words. But they're not going to happen tonight, unfortunately. So instead, I thought I'd give you a tour of our new home. Excuse the mess, won't you?
(*As always, to make the pictures larger, just click on them*)

Clearly, we are going to be doing some raking sometime soon.

Living Room. Note the laptop with freakishly fast internet.

Dining Room.

From the dining room into the kitchen...

I am loving the window over the sink. I can watch my dog run off into the hills, not to return for twenty minutes or longer.

Creative organization at it's best. Thanks Real Simple Magazine!

Our office, just off the kitchen and entryway to our awesome deck.

A fenced in yard! Hooray! Except that five minutes after we put Knox out there he was sitting by our front door. Yeah, we've got to find that hole.

My bathroom. Please note the wallpaper border. Care for a pastoral scene whilst you shower?

One of the glorious things about a 1960's Ranch-style house is miniscule closets. So this is our closet now. It gives a new definition to "walk-in."

My side. It is now unpacked, thankyouverymuch.

Our bedroom, warm and cozy after a quick two coats of paint.

We have a lot of space down at that end of the room. Any ideas?

So there it is. There's also a downstairs which is becoming the guest suite/craft room. Pictures would be highly unimpressive at this point so they'll come later. I'd like to thank Aunt Betsy and Uncle Todd for the kind loan of a bee-u-tee-ful Oriental rug for our living room. While it was highly entertaining to watch Knox tear across the hardwood floors and slam into walls, we are grateful for traction again.
