If anyone needs a wig, we have one or fifteen to spare.

Jason has been asked to do Young Life program for Chattanooga's Wyld Life (that's Young Life for middle school kids) spring break trip. If you're not familiar with Young Life, "program" is a series of connected skits with consistent and hilarious characters that contains an overarching storyline.

Program is seriously one of Jason's spiritual gifts. Program is what Jason was doing almost three years ago at Windy Gap when I met him. Program and Jason's role in it was one of the big reasons I fell in love with him. That man has never looked better as a seven year old in baseball shorts, knee pads and ski boots doing the Napoleon Dynamite dance.
We have even gotten to do program together, a dream come true for me. I mean, somebody had to stop the evil Jannah Fontana from turning Trail West into her own personal spa & resort. Who better than Buford?
Last night, the program boxes came out and, of course, we had to make sure it was all still in good condition after being in retirement for over a year.

Yup.

All good and ready to go.

  1. That is so awesome!!! I was in Young Life in high school and my daughter was very active in Young Life too. I went to Windy Gap when it was first opened many, many years ago and my daughter did work crew there about 3 years ago. Small world. She was a senior leader in high school too. Those skits are hilarious!!! Enjoyed the post about Young Life.
    Love & blessings from NC!

  2. Oh my goodness... I bet life is never dull with you two!

What an amazing way to reach kids! They really connect & remember funny skits more than someone yelling things at them...

  6. Such fun pictures! This reminds me so much of my four summers spent in summer camp ministry. There's no greater time spent than in the chaos of loving on kids and getting to act ridiculous with them. :) Also, I noticed you're looking for new music on your side panel...have you ever listened to Dave Barnes or Josh Bales before? They're both fantastic! :)

I like being a follower......it's far less pressure than being a leader:)
