Green Is My New Favorite Color

Well, hello there!

Yes, I'm still here. No, nothing happened, I just took an expected bloggy vacay. I think the sudden forty degree temperature drop here in Tennessee made me want to hibernate just a bit as well. But I'm back after enjoying some time to myself and a delightful three day visit from a dear NC friend.

Most importantly, for the first time in THREE YEARS I am enjoying an actual Spring. Texas doesn't really have a Spring. In fact, Jason told me that last Monday it was ninety-four degrees in Abilene. NINETY-FOUR. Good lord...

You know what I had forgotten about Spring? Everything. The daffodils that bloom early in the season, Bradford Pears whose lusty smell permeates the air, birds twittering just outside my window as I wake and the verdant lushness of green everywhere I look.

Yes, Spring has sprung and that makes me deliciously happy.

And apparently it made this big guy feel that Spring's glory deserved some dressing up.

I hear you, big guy. My skirts, flirty dresses and sandals are about to make an appearance as well...

  1. As I sit here in my sweatshirt and flannel eeyore pj pants underneath my blanket because it's 16 degrees let me just say that I am so beyond JEALOUS!!!

  2. Yes, Jason was right...it was 94 degrees out here in the 325. However, the next day it dropped down to 34 and rained all day....

And since I have skylights in my new house, I love hearing the pitter patter of the rain as my son watches "Cars" and eats a "Wassle" at 6:30 in the morning!!!

    Hope you are well!

  3. such a great post! I love spring :-) Of course, we came home from Puerto Rico to 45 degree weather. But our daffodils are out too - so it must have been spring-y while we were gone! :-)
