Rain, Rain, Go Away... (Edited: Urgent Prayer Request)

It has been a grey and rainy Monday here at Southwind.

Jason and the program team have had to call several audibles in order to keep 100+ middle schoolers entertained throughout the day.

I have read. I have journaled. I have prayed. I have stretched conversational muscles with new friends.

And in less than an hour, I will get to see my husband transform into Timmy Temple, my favorite character of his ever.

Oh, and this is the view from the front porch of where we're abiding this week.

I'm going to call this day Very Good.

Edited to add:
I wrote this before I checked my blogger dashboard and saw no less than ten blogs that I follow whose title had to do with Stellan, a baby that was prayed for by literally hundreds of thousands of people before he was in even born. Stellan overcame some pretty impossible odds to be born as perfectly healthy as he was and, until now, was living the life of an adorably chubby five month old. Stellan is sick again and needs our prayers more than ever. Please click on the picture below to get the whole scoop and to know how you can pray more specifically. Thanks...

And I love Southwind -- that stinks that it's raining! I hope you have a great time anyways!

  2. Praying with you! And here's to hoping the weather gets better for you. I take it you are in FL now? Too bad... I was going to tell you to go eat at my FAVORITE restaurant in the whole world which happens to be a little hole in the wall place in Southport called the Provision Company. They make the best chilli cheeseburgers, and have the coldest beer to wash it down with. You eat on the dock, right over the water. The ambiance of the place is what makes the food even better! If you are ever back that way... you have to go. There is a Provision Company at Holden Beach as well, but me and my family prefer the one at Southport!

That little lake looks familiar. :) We went tubing on it last summer. Very fun.
