Daylight Savings Time

Here is what I know about it.

Forgetting to set my alarm clock back was the best move I could have made. Because waking up and then realizing I had another hour to go back to sleep? Bonus.

Driving down the mountain in the sunrise and not the dark of early morning is delightful. And yet, all that extra light hasn’t seemed to improve the driving skills of my fellow morning commuters. Two lanes to merge, people, two lanes.

Darkness falling around 6:30 p.m. has given me a whole new motivation for getting my daily workout in before that happens. Squeeze in a run through downtown Chattanooga before my counseling session? Yes, please.

Knox does not need to adjust to the extra hour nor will he wake me up any earlier to be let outside. According to the rest of my friends, this is not true of their small children. This is when being Lulu and not Mommy seriously pays off.

And you? Anything to add to the list?

  1. I am loving the early morning light, it makes waking up quite a bit easier and more enjoyable.
